The mission of the Bel Canto Chorale is to provide
excellence in choral music through rehearsal and
performance.
The Chorale presents two regularly scheduled major
concerts each season, with an annual Festival of Lessons
& Carols with the Shoquoquon Children's Choir and the
Southeast Iowa Brass Quintet. The Chorale
presents additional holiday and special performances
throughout the season, and regularly appears with the
Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra in major
choral/orchestral works.
The ensemble is open by audition to any adult singer who
has a desire to contribute to the choral excellence
achieved in the forty-one years of its history.
Roger Hatteberg,
the Chorale's music director, will be retiring at
the conclusion of the 2009-2010 concert season. The
Chorale is currently receiving resumes from
interested Chorale conductors. Please send your
